For Het HEM, Smeets developed a site-specific installation in which felt, knitted structures and leaf catchers seem to grow like an own entity against the walls. When you walk through the installation, some of the elements crackle and seem to move, which makes the experience of being surrounded by a growing landscape even more intense.
