Near the square there are 2 benches, which are placed around a tree. I want to place 2 of
these benches within the actual square. The benches are overgrown by a shiny aluminum ball
structure, which flows from under and alongside the bench onto the square. At a small distance from the bench there is a bicycle rack, with an ordinary bike in it. The handlebars, the front wheel and the saddle are all overgrown by a plantlike ball structure, also made out of aluminum, which branches off. Here too, the material is flowing around the bike onto the square. The images and intertwined and merged with the square. They are partly made from elements you'll find in and around the square. At the same time, the strangely shiny aluminum structures will take the sculptures out of their normal context. |
